Jewelry Around the Globe: Second Flight

When I feel like a basic outfit needs casual finishing, I often go to global jewelry. Earthy with interest, it’s great for Saturday morning at the farmer’s market, drinks on the patio on Sunday afternoon.

Iris Apfel Multiple Strand Wood and Gold-Foiled Necklace – Simple materials are the only thing simple about this standout piece–a couture touch to everyday dressing.

Asos Seed bead Choker Necklace – Starting at the neck, and cascading down a black crewneck or v-neck T, this seed bead necklace becomes part of the top.  It’s also very cool with a black turtleneck.  Switches up a cotton button-down.

Bajalia Lapis Etched Brass Cuff – An impressive piece of lapis forms the centerpiece of this magnificent cuff.  Lapis gives me a feel like denim.

Rarities Lapis and Iolite, Carved Longevity Symbol Ring – Dots of iolite soften the bold disc of hand carved lapis.  Old world global symbolism gives importance to a casual outfit.

Moroccan Tile-Patterned Earrings – These have always reminded me of Moroccan tiles, or geometric patterns carved in stone, like those that decorate the walls of the Alhambra.  Just the right size to throw on and go when you need a fashion element.
