This time each year we have one foot in winter and the other in spring.
The past couple of weeks the weather in New York, and a lot of the country, had us believing that blooming Cherry Blossoms were just around the corner. But we know there’s at least one more good storm left in Mother Nature, so we try to stay in the present to avoid disappointment.
It helps us to weather the transition if we start adding in fresh elements to our wardrobe. Create a little excitement with these small additions. They don’t say spring, exactly, but they do say lighten up–exchange fishnets for socks, shed some layers, and a scarf becomes a wisp instead of a muffler.

These corsets from Tibi are sold out. A trip around the internet searching for similar styles netted me zero! Here’s my (I think quite brilliant) idea. DIY. I took a close-fitting, thick black t-shirt and cut off the bottom part. I kept as much of the bottom of the t-shirt as possible so that I could scrunch it up a bit to flatter my stomach area. You could also take a knit pencil skirt and cut it. This is a neat way to reuse things that are too small. The possibilities are endless! Shop the fabulous Tibi clothing above that the corset is accenting.
The skinny scarf keeps going strong. Here, variations of the classic black skinny that started it all. Your neck will thank you.
