Alexander Wang is an American institution of cool and edge, utilitarian and mainstream. For his Fall 2017 show, bling looks like hard, shiny studs, not dainty embellishment. Silver chain, mesh and short fringe at once look tough, baroque and western. The range is impressive, yet there’s a sense of a collection that would all wow one woman, or a range of types. Beyond it all is a line that brings a woman to modern, and confident when she wears it.
